King Crab At Its Finest

Share

I was working on recipe ideas for our Chilean King Crab Meat and thought it would work well for tacos. It was the best idea of the bunch. The brilliant coloring of the king crab meat makes for an amazing presentation and when you grill the king crab meat in butter before adding to the tacos the flavor is incredible. These tacos are very easy to make and will impress anyone you serve them to.

Ingredients:

1 lb Ocean Kitchen King crab Meat

8 small flour or corn tortillas

1/2 a head of cabbage sliced into thin strips

sour cream

1-2 avocados

a few sprigs of cilantro (leaves removed from stems)

1 bunch of green onions (sliced on a diagonal)

Old Bay Seasoning (or other seasoning salt)

butter

1-2 large limes

Directions:

Grill the tortillas to warm them and then cover them on a plate with a cloth to keep warm. Cut the cabbage into small strips and place in a mixing bowl. Stir in enough sour cream to lightly coat the cabbage then add Old Bay Seasoning to taste and then place the cabbage across the center of the tortillas. Slice the avocado(s) into wedges and place two in each taco. Melt some butter in a large pan and then add the king crab meat. Gently sautee until just warmed through and crab meat is covered with the melted butter. Divide the king crab meat among the tacos. Place green onions and cilantro leaves on the tacos. Slice the lime into wedges and serve with the tacos.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve with tortilla chips and salsa fresca

use taco seasoning instead of Old Bay Seasoning

Use Chilean crab meat or langostino meat
