Crab Jalapeno and Bacon Dip Recipe

A Great Crab Dip For Any Festive Event

Looking for a dip recipe for the Super Bowl or some other festive gathering this crab, jalapeno and bacon dip recipe is perfect for your event.

 

Ingredients:

 

1 pound Seatech Crab Meat

8 oz. package of cream cheese

1/2 cup mayonnaise, add more for a creamier dip

1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese

1 medium sweet onion, diced

1/4 cup jarred or canned sliced jalapeno, chopped use more or less depending on desired spicyness

2-4 slices of bacon cooked until crisp, diced

Old Bay Seasoning or other seasoning salt to taste

Crackers for serving

 

Directions:

 

Cooke bacon until crisp and place on paper towel to cool, allow extra grease to drain away and then chop into small pieces. In a large mixing bowl blend together cream cheese, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, diced onions, chopped jalapenos, diced bacon and mix together. Add crab meat to bowl and blend to incorporate. Add seasoning salt to taste. Place in baking dish and put in a preheated oven at 375 degrees to bake for 15-20 minutes until top of crab dip lightly browns and begins to bubble. Serve with crackers for dipping.

 

Serving Tips:

 

These dips are also great in a hoagie role as a sandwich

Can be served with tortilla chips or pita chips

Roast and dice a couple fresh jalapenos instead of using jarred or canned

Use Chilean shrimp instead of Chilean crab meat

Use bacon bits in place of cooking slices of bacon
